Geography:
In geography this term we are looking at out local area and the changes to it. Please look at the area local to you and make a list of all things you can see ready to discuss in outpatient next geography lesson.

Here is some information about this term for Year 4:

PE will still be on Tuesdays and Thursdays. As the weather will be getting warmer, can children please make sure they have drinks bottles, sun cream and hats for sunnier days.

Spelling tests will be on a Tuesday – these words can be found in the Home School diary. Please remember to LOOK, COVER, WRITE, CHECK to help practise.
In history, we are studying the Tudors for our history topic, and this includes a trip to Buckland Abbey. In geography, we will be exploring how our local area has changed over time. In science, we are investigating habitats, teeth, the digestive system and food chains.
In PE, we will be beginning to develop our skills in athletics (jumping, throwing and running) in preparation for Sports day as well as looking at learning the basic rules of rounders. Our DT project will be looking into electrical circuits and systems to create a reading lamp/torch.
In maths, we will be looking at decimals, money, time, statistics, length and perimeter and the properties of shapes. Our books this term in English are “Gregory Cool”, "Fantastically Great Women who Changed the World' and 'The Great Fire of London'.
