This is where we will set activities for you to complete at home, together with providing the necessary support and guidance you may require.
Reading at Home
During the school closure, we really hope that children continue to read for pleasure and develop a love of books.
We are pleased to inform you that we have now subscribed to myON, which is, ‘a digital platform allowing pupils unlimited access to thousands of enhanced digital books’.
Many of you may have accessed this service during the spring term lockdown. The difference with this subscription is that children have their own log in and their teachers can view the books they are accessing. There are also many more books available – almost 6000 at present. The service runs alongside Accelerated Reader and the children will be able to select books, which are at the correct ZPD/ATOS level, and will be able to take quizzes on completed books as they would in school.
Please see the document link below for further information.

We have taken the decision to allow children to take quizzes on the Accelerated Reader system at home. Access will be permitted throughout the school closure. Children can access their account by clicking on the link below:
They will need to use their school username and password, which they should know. If you have difficulties with this, please contact the school via the admin email address.
When choosing books, please don’t worry about finding the exact reading level as we would in school - it is far more important for children to be reading regularly and enjoying it. Your child’s class teacher will monitor the children’s reading time and quiz scores and contact you if they need to discuss any scores or reading information with you. This might be by email or by telephone if they are in school.
