Welcome to Foundation.

This term our main aim is to settle the children into school, spending time getting to know our new Red Bears and Blue Bears and getting them used to the new rules and routines.

We encourage the children to be as independent as they can be, but are always here to support each child (and parents) in any way we can and when needed.

This half term our focus is ‘Amazing Me’. We will use this topic to get to know the children, their friendships, likes, dislikes and interests. We will also spend time assessing their individual skills to enable us to plan a tailored curriculum through games and little activities.

In the second half of term we will be looking at ‘Real Life Superheroes and Celebrations’. This will include Police, Fire Brigade, Hospital Staff, Diwali,  Christmas and Bonfire night.

Each week we will send home a letter detailing the areas of the curriculum we will be covering and how you can help at home.

Our Foundation Team would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Foundation Stage and Bickleigh Down C of E Primary School. We are looking forward to the year ahead which we know, as always, will fly by but will also be full of many fun and exciting times and challenges.
